So you’re interested in applying for the Alexander Scholarship? The 2019 scholarship application period has closed, and applicants will be notified of decisions by May 24, 2019. Applications are available in the Spring of each year, so stay tuned later in the year for more information on the 2020 Alexander scholarship!

Those seeking higher education and meeting the following eligibility criteria may apply:
Must have a Blue Eagle Credit Union account in good standing. Not a member yet? It's easy to join. Learn about opening an account!
Complete and submit the application, along with all supporting documents, electronically by the due date listed. Incomplete applications, including any supporting documents, will not be considered.
Submit transcript (both official and unofficial are acceptable), if currently enrolled in school, or proof of acceptance if this will be your first semester at an accredited university, college, or certified technical or vocational school.
Applicants must submit a typed essay, of no more than 500 words, answering the question listed on the application
Award monies must be used for accredited university, college, or certified technical, or vocational school Fall tuition.
If, for any reason, the recipient discontinues studies, the student must notify Blue Eagle Credit Union within 10 days of withdrawal. At such time, eligibility for receiving the scholarship funds will be determined by the Alexander Scholarship Committee. Additionally, the recipient may be held responsible for refunding any scholarship monies lost due to class withdrawal or an incomplete school year.
If the recipient does not attend school within a 12-month period following the date of the award, the scholarship award will be withdrawn.
The scholarship may be held in abeyance for not more than one year, at the discretion of Blue Eagle Credit Union, if recipient experiences extenuating circumstances.
Award money will be deposited with the school of the recipient's enrollment and credited to the student's account to be drawn upon under the school rules established for handling scholarship funds. The scholarship recipient must provide Blue Eagle Credit Union with a copy of the tuition bill in order for funds to be disbursed to the school.
Student may re-apply for the Alexander Scholarship each year the student is eligible, but only one award per applicant per calendar year is permitted.
Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academics, activities and community service, and essay submission. The decision of the judges will be final. Tax related information is the responsibility of the recipient.
