We still believe in offering not only fair and affordable services, but simply offering our best to each person we serve. Who we are
Enriching Lives. As a credit union, we’re a not-for-profit financial cooperative with the sole purpose of helping people. Our credit union was founded in 1948 as Roanoke Postal Employees’ Federal Credit Union to give Postal workers and their families in Southwest Virginia affordable services. In 2013, we opened our doors to the greater Roanoke and Lynchburg communities and became Blue Eagle® Credit Union. We’ve grown from one office in the Roanoke Main Post Office to multiple offices in several localities, virtual services, and cutting edge ways to do business like our Eagle Vision® ITMs. We invite you to join us on this journey of taking success to the next level.

So we offer a wide variety of services from traditional savings, loans when you need more than what’s in savings, financial coaching, and higher yielding accounts like Money Market Savings accounts, to more advanced services like wealth management. Our services are designed to help you reach your next financial goal in a way that is Better. Faster. Easier. More Affordable. We also believe that you’re more than a credit score, so we will listen to your story and create custom solutions just for you.

Why we do it
Cooperative Spirit. Credit unions were built on the philosophy of people helping people. In the mid-1800s the average person was being taken advantage of by moneylenders. Credit unions were created as cooperatives to meet the financial needs of all people. This inclusive culture still is at the forefront of all we do and what inspires us each day. We are driven by our core values of Quality Service, Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Education. When you open an account at Blue Eagle Credit Union, you become an owner. The more business you, and your fellow members, do with the credit union the more you ALL benefit. We rise and fall together.

Annual Meeting
