Part-Time Teller Service Center Representative Position

Blue Eagle Credit Union, a $150 million credit union located in Roanoke and Lynchburg, VA, has an immediate opening for a Part-time Teller Service Center Representative in Roanoke. The Part-time Teller Service Center Representative will be responsible for a wide range of duties with a primary focus on assisting members with financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments through interactive technology leveraging two-way voice and video. This person will respond to questions and/or provide information upon request from members and potential members, as well as add value to members by recognizing opportunities where are products and services may be beneficial. All interactions should enhance the members’ experience by providing exceptional, friendly, professional, consistent, and courteous service to all members via Interactive Teller Machines, also known as Eagle Vision ® .

The successful candidate must be a professional with well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for projecting a positive image as a representative for the credit union to members and credit union staff at all levels. This individual must have effective written and verbal communication skills; be able to exercise confidentiality; have excellent math ability and attention to detail; have the ability to apply concepts of basic accounting; have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as simple interest, percentages, pro-rata, and discounts; have the skill and ability to connect with people and actively listen using technology; have the ability to work well within a team and must desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and sometimes stressful environment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. In addition, the following qualifications must be met:

  • An Associate degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with various PC applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Google applications.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in shifts to accommodate the extended operating hours and business needs of the Teller Service Center.
  • Present a professional image at all times; be comfortable, professional and friendly on camera.
